Justin Thompson

A graduate of Klein Oak High School, Justin was a 1st round draft choice of the Detroit Tigers and also distinguished himself as an All-Star pitcher. Justin pitched for both the Detroit Tigers and Texas Rangers until injuries ended his pitching career. Following his playing days, Justin served as a pitching coach in the Texas Rangers organization. For many years now, he has been dedicated to providing youth baseball training, instructing young athletes on pitching, fielding, and hitting. Justin is part of our professional staff at AP Express, where he offers private baseball lessons.

Don Turley

Don serves as our organizational director at AP Express, where he offers private baseball lessons to aspiring athletes. He successfully coached the Northwest 45 Little League team to a National Championship and a Junior team to a World Championship. With years of experience coaching select and showcase teams, Don continues to provide youth baseball training at AP Express. Additionally, he served as a major league scout for 27 years with the Houston Astros and Tampa Bay Rays organizations. Throughout his career, Don has worked with youth players, delivering professional instruction on all baseball-related activities.

Chen " Buddy" Yen

Buddy is a graduate of Klein Oak High School where he excelled as a pitcher before attending San Jacinto College, continuing his pitching career, and then advancing to the University of Louisiana Lafayette. After college, Buddy was drafted by the Kansas City Royals organization, where he played and earned the Rolaids Relief Player of the Year award, until injuries took their toll and effectively ended his professional baseball career. In addition to his playing experience, Buddy has also been a successful coach with AP Express, and now offers private baseball lessons focusing on pitching and hitting to both members and the public, utilizing his expertise as one of the professional baseball instructors in the region, and contributing to youth baseball training.

Matt Harughty

Matt is a local product who played Little League baseball at Northwest 45, before attending and graduating in 2005 from Spring High School, where he excelled as a middle infielder. After graduation, Matt attended Blinn Jr. College for 2 years before transferring to the University of Oklahoma. In 2009, Matt was drafted by the Chicago White Sox and played in their minor league system as a middle infielder. He was also a successful coach with AP Express for several years before taking a break. Now, Matt is excited to offer private baseball lessons focused on fielding and hitting, drawing from his experience as one of the professional baseball instructors in the area. His sessions will be invaluable for youth baseball training, helping young players develop their skills.

Jerry Burks

Jerry Burks is offering private baseball lessons focused on hitting, pitching, and fielding. With nearly 40 years of experience in playing and coaching high-level baseball, Jerry is a Certified professional baseball instructor in Rapsodo pitching and hitting. As the owner of Amateur to Pro, LLC, he currently provides youth baseball training within the organization.

Anthony Giansanti

As an 8-year professional baseball player, with 7 seasons on the Chicago Cubs and 1 with the Sugar Land Skeeters, I bring a wealth of experience to youth baseball training. I am an upbeat motivator who loves the game of baseball, and my goal is to create all-star players and all-star individuals. There are countless life lessons hidden within the game of baseball that I value and strive to pass on. I invite you to allow me to change your child’s life through private baseball lessons, helping them improve their game to its maximum potential! This past season, I played for the Sugar Land Skeeters, where I was recognized as an Atlantic League All-Star, finishing in the top 3 for almost every offensive category while showcasing my versatility in positions including shortstop, second base, and all three outfield spots, primarily centerfield.

Brittany Darilek

Brittany Joins AP Express as a professional softball instructor with more than 15 years of competitive playing experience and more than 8 years of private instruction in hitting, fielding, throwing, catching, and overall skill development. Brittany brings more than 10 years of high level competitive travel softball coaching experience including her current position coaching 16u Texas Blaze Gold. Brittany has also aided in the succes of more than 50 athletes reaching the collegiate levels of D1, D2, D3, NAIA, and JUCO. Brittany was a Varsity Assistance Coach at The Woodlands Christian Academy before accepting a position in 2003 as the Head Softball Coach at Concordia Lutheran High School where she continues to coach to this day.

Madison Johnson

Madison Johnson is our newest softball instructor at AP, bringing her extensive experience in youth baseball training. A graduate of Lake Creek High School, Madison excelled in softball, earning honors such as Academic All-State, 1st Team All-District, and being a 2-time State Champion. With over 16 years of softball expertise, she is now offering private baseball lessons at the AP Indoor Training Facility, where our professional baseball instructors help athletes of all levels improve their skills.
